All three are doubts for the trip to Burnley on Tuesday, when United will look to go to the top of the Premier League, but Solskjaer is confident his bottom line will be closer to full strength for Sunday’s Anfield game.
“I hope [they will be back] for Liverpool, definitely, “said Solskjaer.” I’m not sure if they’ll get the Burnley. We’ll see Monday. “
The victory at Turf Moor will put United three points clear at the top before the trip to Liverpool. They haven’t been involved in the title race this season since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, but Solskjaer refuses to get carried away.
“We’re not even halfway through the season, no one will remember what the league table looked like on January 12, 2021,” Solskjaer said.
“I think it’s great that our fans are excited and happy with where we are and that we have this little sense of excitement, but then we’re not even halfway there. [the season].
“For me, all my eyes are on Tuesday and then let’s see where we are after that.”
