Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is more than happy that Bruno Fernandes is spreading some truths at home to the rest of the team and insists they have responded well to his rollockings.

The Portuguese superstar quickly became a vocal leader in the United team after arriving from Sporting in January and has shown no sign of changing his personality.

The 26-year-old, who has already donned the Red Devils captain’s armband, is very frank with his views, but far from this being a problem, Solskjaer agrees.

The Norwegian says Fernandes is not just mistreating, but helping his teammates, even if he may appear aggressive on the field.

“Bruno is not only blocking, he is also training the players,” Solskjaer said. “ We can all learn from his mindset and mindset, that winning mindset.

“In the heat of the moment, people are also allowed to vent their frustration and get angry for a second or two.

If it persists, it is a different scenario. But I’ve been on a team and I like that my teams have that inner justice, where it’s not just the managers and the coaches who scream.

“I want the players to take responsibility and put other players in their place when necessary. They are fighting for a cause, and that is for the team to win.

“The players have reacted very well to Bruno. We see different types of leadership. Some lead by example, some lead by both.

“ Every now and then you just have to give yourself a good time when you deserve it. ”

Fernandes has continued his strong scoring form this season which he demonstrated after arriving in January, scoring six times in eight Premier League starts this season.

He will hope to maintain that impressive record when United travel to Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
