Man Utd lines up if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signs Cristiano Ronaldo and two more players | Soccer Sport

Manchester United have once again been linked to Cristiano Ronaldo. The Graphic in Argentina has claimed that the 35-year-old is ‘tempted’ by a highly successful return to Old Trafford. And it very well could happen.

United sold Ronaldo to Real Madrid in the 2009 summer transfer window.

And they have won just two Premier League titles since then, and both came during the reign of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ronaldo has gone from strength to strength in the years since the game was hidden, propelling Real Madrid and Juventus to a slew of silver.

And now it could be sold.

Juventus needs to balance its finances in the aftermath of the coronavirus crisis and selling to its highest source of income would be one way to do that.

So Express Sport will now look at how United could line up next year if they sign Ronaldo, as well as Dayot Upamecano and Erling Haaland.

Erling haaland

United were disappointed when they lost to Erling Haaland in the January transfer window.

The Norwegian international had verbally agreed to a transfer to Old Trafford, but ended up joining Bundesliga titans Borussia Dortmund.

But Solskjaer remains interested in his compatriot and would love to sign him in the future.

United could do very well next summer, especially with Edinson Cavani’s long-term future uncertain.

And he’s likely to oust Anthony Martial from the Red Devils starting lineup if that move takes place.
