EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
– SK Haji Hasan, Changkat Petai, Perak
Called reported today that the school was ordered to close from tomorrow until November 3 after a case of Covid-19 was detected there.
MEDICAL FACILITIES
– Avisena Specialized Hospital for Women and Children, Shah Alam, Selangor
The Avisena group said today that two of its staff members tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday. Both are administrative staff with very limited contact with clients, they said.
RESIDENCES
– Union Heights Condominium, Taman Yarl, Kuala Lumpur
The condo’s management committee issued a notice Sunday that a resident in Block 7 tested positive for Covid-19 and was taken to hospital.
He said that Ministry of Health staff will carry out disinfection work, but that management will carry out another round of disinfection today as a precautionary measure.
– Menara Pelangi Condominium, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur
A tenant working for the Cardio Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur Hospital (CVSKL) tested positive for Covid-19.
Four of the tenant’s housemates have been screened and are in home quarantine.
Sanitation works have been carried out.
GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS
– LHDN Labuan and Shah Alam
Two branches of the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) in Labuan and Shah Alam are temporarily closed due to cleanup, according to Astro awani report this morning.
He cited a notice issued by the agency, which said that branches have been closed since yesterday (October 26) until further notice.
The notice did not specify whether there were positive cases at the facility. However, previously, LHDN had ordered the closure of its offices at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim after its staff tested positive for Covid-19.
BUSINESS
– WRP Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Selangor
A worker tested positive on October 20, said the president of the glove company, Leong Wai Leong. Malaysiakini.
He joined the company on October 13 and was tested on October 16, after close contact with a Covid-19 positive person outside of work.
The worker does not stay in the bedroom, but proper sanitation has been carried out in the bedroom and other company facilities.
Other workers who came into contact with him are quarantined and their names turned over to the Ministry of Health for detection.
– Nivetha Curry House, Taman Alam Jaya, Kajang, Selangor
A restaurant employee was arrested by police on October 16 for not wearing a mask while working, according to sources.
The foreigner was taken into Kajang District Police custody, and only a swab test was performed on October 22 before the result was positive on October 24.
The restaurant owner who identified himself as Mahendran, when contacted, said Malaysiakini that the worker tested positive after being locked up and that everyone else who works at the restaurant tested negative.
He said the restaurant is temporarily closed as all workers are advised to self-quarantine for 14 days.
– Royal Selangor Golf Club, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur
A member tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, the club said in a notice to members.
The club will be closed from October 26, pending further details from the authorities.
– TPC Kuala Lumpur Golf Club, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur
A member who visited the club yesterday tested positive for Covid-19, he said in a notice on his Facebook page.
The club is temporarily closed from today until further notice, for sanitation and disinfection reasons.
– UOA Business Park, Shah Alam, Selangor
An employee at Tower 1 tested positive, the building’s management said in a notice today.
Disinfection of the common areas was completed at 9.55 am, while a licensed cleaning company has been hired to perform further disinfection.
On October 12, the address had informed a Covid-19 case in Tower 7.
– TGI Fridays, Queensbay Mall, Penang
A customer who visited this establishment on Oct. 23 tested positive for Covid-19, the restaurant chain said.
As a precaution, the store was immediately closed for disinfection, while all members of the team were told to quarantine and get tested.
– Suria Sabah Shopping Center, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
The mall’s management said in a statement that an employee at a Daiso store in the mall tested positive for Covid-19.
The store closed today at 10 a.m. M. For a deep cleaning.
