KUALA LUMPURMalaysia has strongly condemned the deadly attack that took place in the French city of Nice on October 29.
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement issued today, expressed Malaysia’s condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
“We hope that the attacker will be brought to justice quickly. The attack once again reminds the international community of the urgent need for a concerted effort to eliminate the acts and threats of terrorism in a comprehensive and effective manner.
“Clearly, this global threat does not recognize borders, religion or racial affiliation,” the statement said.
Wisma Putra also called on the international community to come together to address the root causes of terrorism and promote mutual respect, harmonious and peaceful coexistence, while opposing persecution, provocation, prejudice, and religious or racial hatred.
