On his Twitter account today, the minister shared positive responses from Malaysians in Yangon who criticized allegations made by some Malaysians there that the Malaysian Embassy did not provide security guarantees following the situation in the country.

“The feedback is positive despite the current situation. For the three Malaysians who have refused to be identified, please contact our embassy ambassador Datuk Zahairi and his team will provide all the help they can, ”he said.

Hishammuddin also shared tweets from several Malaysians in his responses to a news portal report to explain how the embassy was helping them.

One of them pointed out that the quality of the embassy’s services was excellent and that it had always kept them updated and supported.

“There are 3 relief flights a week to Kuala Lumpur, which I think is one of the highest. Thanks to the Ambassador and the professional staff, ”said the Malaysian.

In another reply, a Malaysian who has been working there since 2018 said that the Malaysian Embassy was very helpful and always lent a hand when Malaysians needed help.

“Some of my colleagues in Singapore also shared some updates with me each time they received from the Malaysian Embassy, as they also keep in touch with our Malaysian Embassy. The Ambassador and staff continue to monitor the situation and provide us with the correct information in a timely manner without delay. “

Another Malaysian also shared that the embassy staff had been very professional and prompt.

The portal reported that some Malaysians in Myanmar expressed disappointment with the Malaysian Embassy in Yangon for allegedly not providing security guarantees following the situation in the country.

They reportedly told the portal that they were more willing to go to the Singapore embassy for help if the situation worsened with protests and reports of military violence. – Called
