Police said they detained the suspect, who is also a famous preacher in Kelantan, after two complaints were filed in Selangor and Penang.

KOTA BHARU: Kelantan police have held the director of a madrassa in Machang from today until December 26 after receiving two complaints of nuisance against the suspect, who is also a famous preacher in the state.

Kelantan Police Chief Shafien Mamat said the reports were filed at the Kuang Police Station in Selangor and the Bayan Lepas Police Station in Penang.

“Based on the statement of the second victim, the incident (against him) occurred in November 2018, around 11 p.m. in a bedroom at the Machang madrasah,” he said, adding that conduct investigations under Section 377D of the Code.
