PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will investigate a report submitted on allegations of abuse of power in the Perak land adjudication case.

Confirming this, MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations) Datuk Seri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya said that MACC had received the report submitted by Parti Bumiputra Perkasa Malaysia (Putra).

“The MACC confirms that an investigation will be carried out on the complaint. We hope that while we investigate the matter, the parties will refrain from commenting on the case.

“This is so that an investigation can be conducted in a transparent and professional manner,” Ahmad Khusairi said on Monday (September 7).

Today in Ipoh, Putra Vice President Datuk Hamidah Osman had submitted a report to the Perak MACC office on an alleged problem that 1,200ha of land for a forestry development project that had been awarded has elements of energy abuse.

She alleged that the project involved certain people with connections to the state government.
