BARCELONA has reportedly canceled Luis Suárez’s transfer to Atlético de Madrid.
After Ronald Koeman told the 33-year-old forward that he was no longer wanted at the Camp Nou, a frantic search for a new team began.

However, it has not gone as planned for Suarez with a move to Juventus that ended with passport delays.
That put LaLiga rivals Atlético in view of an agreement that would imply that Barcelona would terminate the player’s contract.
On Tuesday morning, Spanish media AS reported that the club’s president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, had drastically banned the move.
The 57-year-old Blaugrana boss is said to have decided not to cancel Suarez’s contract in order to join another title contender.
As part of the Uruguayan’s agreement to terminate his contract, several clubs have been named to the blacklist that he cannot join.
And Bartomeu would have added Atlético to the list, meaning the two teams must find a formal transfer agreement.
However, Diego Simeone’s side has barely any cash, leading to reports of a 60 per cent pay cut in Suarez’s wages of £ 405,000 a week to complete the move.
In addition, it was understood that Atlético was in talks with Juventus about an agreement for Álvaro Morata.
Letting the Spaniard get a £ 9 million loan, made permanent for £ 41 million, was one way of financing Suarez’s arrival.
But the latest revelations leave that transfer and the future of Suárez in the air.
The former Liverpool star reported to Barcelona training as usual on Monday afternoon and new manager Koeman will play him if an exit cannot be arranged.
Nonetheless, the Catalans remain determined to get him out of his gigantic salary, with Memphis Depay lined up as a replacement.
