On May 3, NCT Dream shared a video of the members reacting to their own MV “Ridin ‘”!
NCT Dream returned with their new mini album “Reload” and the title track “Ridin ‘” on April 29. The album topped iTunes charts worldwide, while the song “Ridin ‘” became the first song by an NCT unit to take No. 1 on the Melon chart in real time.
At the start of the reaction video, Chenle reveals that the group is filming their reaction approximately an hour before the MV is officially released. Jeno says, “We are also watching the MV for the first time,” and Renjun adds, “We can’t wait to see what it will be like.” Haechan asks, “Has anyone seen him before?” and met with a universal negative, promises, “This will be 100 percent of our actual reactions.”
Throughout the video, NCT Dream members exalt each other by calling each other when they appear on screen and sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the set. In the opening dance sequence, Haechan points out that the floor was very slippery on that particular set. At one point, Jisung comments, “We do the choreography better now than the MV,” and Chenle replies, “We always practice through the music video.”
Although the video begins relatively smooth, the members are progressively excited to see the elegant and polished music video. They frequently comment on each other’s hair color and Jaemin’s comments [about his blue hair], “Don’t I look like this? That salamander from ‘Frozen 2.'” While looking at some group choreographies, Jisung says: “We did really well.” Jeno adds: “We are very well matched” and Jaemin jokes: “They made us see how if we were very well matched. “
