BUSINESS

Resorts World Genting, Genting Highlands, Pahang

The complex said in a statement that several cafeteria workers on its staff tested positive for Covid-19 during routine screening and were immediately isolated. Staff members who had dined in these canteens have also been isolated separately.

The affected dining rooms and common areas have been cleaned up and contacts are being followed up.

He noted that the dining rooms are not open to the public, but the complex itself remains open.

DailyMuscle, Glomac Damansara, Kuala Lumpur

This gym announced to members that a member who attended a 6.30am class on Monday has since tested positive for Covid-19.

He said the case is likely to be an isolated case, hired off-site, but has nevertheless reached out to all the other members of the same class to advise them to undergo testing.

Its facilities have been temporarily closed for disinfection and for all its personnel to be examined.

Jaya One, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The management of the Jaya One building announced yesterday that an employee of an office in Block D-61/63, Level 3, tested positive the day before. Since then, the office has been closed while all other staff members search for evidence.

Jaya One said that he has conducted contact tracing and sanitized all common areas in Block D.

Tong Hin Supermarket, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Borneo Post reported last night that the supermarket closed its Gaya Street outlet for disinfection after an employee tested positive for Covid-19. Tong Hin supermarket also reportedly said investigations revealed that the virus was not transmitted in the store.

Happy Place Restaurant & Bar, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

This restaurant announced on Facebook that a diner tested positive for Covid-19 on December 31, as well as an employee who served a private event on the same day.

Its facilities have been cleaned up but will remain closed until further notice.

The restaurant announced yesterday that a member of the staff at its establishment tested positive for Covid-19.

The staff member has been quarantined while the plug is being disinfected. Contact tracing is underway.

Mei from Fat Spoon, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The restaurant announced yesterday that two of its customers who dined at its The Hub SS2 establishment tested positive for Covid-19.

The first person had dinner on January 1, between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., and the other had dinner on January 5, between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.

The two communicated with the restaurant yesterday about their results, after which arrangements have been made to disinfect their facilities and quarantine all staff members at the establishment.


RESIDENCES

Kamares Island, Setia Marina, Cyberjaya, Selangor

The administration announced yesterday that a resident of Block K20 tested positive for Covid-19 and immediate action was taken, including disinfection.

Additionally, its gym, pool, badminton court, clubhouse, kids room, play area, clubhouse bathroom, and other common area facilities would be closed for 14 days.

Hijauan Saujana Service Apartments, Shah Alam, Selangor

Management said on January 6 that a resident in Block A, Level 12, tested positive for Covid-19 and two others in the same unit have been tested and self-isolated in a hotel.

He said the patient is waiting for health authorities to pick him up for further tests and treatment.

Taman Kelisa Emas, Bandar Baharu, Kedah

The Bandar Baharu District Health Office said a case of Covid-19 was detected in the residential area.

The Kulai District Health Office said that Covid-19 cases were detected yesterday in the following locations, representing a total of 166 cases.

Senai Subdistrict: Jalan Nuri (1 case); Kampung Baru Sengkang (1); Taman Handal (2); Senai People (1); Taman Mas (1); Jalan Merak, Bandarputra (2); Taman Makmur (1); Pure Industrial Park (57); Jalan Perindustrian 1 (87).

Kulai Subdistrict: Taman Pancasila (1 case); Jalan Matahari (1); Muhibbah Park (1); Taman Putri (2); Taman Lagenda Putra (1); Rambutan road (1); Taman Saleng Gaya (2); Jalan Teratai, Indahpura (1).

Bukit Batu Sub-district: Felda Bukit Batu (2 cases).

Sedenak Subdistrict: Kampung Melayu (1 case).
