KULAI: A four-seater plane made a forced landing (pix) at KM47.7 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) after developing engine problems today.

Two pilots, both Singaporeans, were reported to have taken off on the plane around 10.50 a.m. M. From Senai International Airport, Johor, approximately 10.50am. M. And they were heading to Malacca when the incident occurred just 15 minutes away.

The plane was flying at about 5,000 feet when its engine suffered a power loss.

After the pilots’ attempts to regain normal flight failed, they decided to land the single-engine plane on the road.

The pilots managed to land the aircraft safely amid moving traffic at the NSE.

Both men were unharmed and the aircraft was not damaged in the incident.

Police officers who were alerted came to the scene before the traffic police were put into service to ensure that traffic was smooth.

The US-registered aircraft that was parked on the shoulder of the road caught the attention of amused drivers passing by, many of whom took photos and videos before sharing it on social media.
