It’s been years since Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2 received a content update. After a long time, the game finally gets one, called The Last Stand. Valve says this is one created entirely by the L4D community, adding new survival arenas, weapons, animations, lines of dialogue, and more.

One of the most prominent is the extended campaign The Last Stand, which adds a story mission based on the Lighthouse survival map. Speaking of survival maps, there are also 26 new ones. And of course there is also an extensive list of bug fixes.
Left 4 Dead 2 was released in 2009, making it almost 11 years old. But despite being such an old game, it has had a continuous following from its loyal community. So much so, in fact, that it has had an average of 10,000 players each month. With the new update, there will likely be an increase in players returning to see the new content drop.
The Last Stand update for Left 4 Dead 2 is out now, according to its launch trailer. And it was launched at the perfect time. Since it’s the weekend, it’s probably a good idea to have your friends join you to see what the bulk update is all about.
