Landslides leave 13 vehicles trapped on road to Fraser’s Hill

KUANTAN: Police confirmed that a total of 13 vehicles were trapped between two landslides along the Raub-Fraser’s Hill highway this afternoon.

Raub District Police Chief Kama Azural Mohamed said there was a landslide at Km2 and another at Km4, and that motorists were unable to return to Fraser’s Hill.

“No casualties were reported. Currently, several people have returned to Fraser’s Hill with the help of police and villagers, after they crossed the area blocked by landslides.

“Priority is given to women and children. Others are still in the process of being evacuated before being taken to Fraser’s Hill for the night, ”he said.

As of today, Kama Azural confirmed that landslides had occurred at three locations, believed to have occurred due to continued rain since yesterday.
