Arsenal managed two wins out of two in the new season as they battled for a 2-1 win over West Ham.
After winning their first game against Fulham last week, Arsenal scored another victory against a rival from London.
West Ham posed more of a threat to them than Fulham, showing signs of improvement since their opening day loss to Newcastle. However, it was Arsenal who claimed the three points.
The Gunners took the lead in the 24th minute when Alexandre Lacazette headed in with a header after grabbing a cross from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Replays suggested there may have been an offside in preparation when Bukayo Saka passed Aubameyang, but the VAR allowed the goal to stand. It means that Lacazette has already scored 50 goals for Arsenal.

However, West Ham struck back just before the break. Michail Antonio reached the end of a Ryan Fredericks cross to finish off a fast break.
The second half proved difficult for Arsenal, but they finally found a breakthrough with five minutes to go.
Dani Ceballos squared the ball to replace Eddie Nketiah, who was left with a touch to restore Arsenal’s lead.
Nketiah had replaced the other scorer, Lacazette, less than 10 minutes earlier. And it was his goal that was decisive.
