Jurgen Klopp said he was “happy with everything” even though Liverpool’s fringe players could give the team a headache after progressing to the Carabao Cup.

A second-row Liverpool was too much for Lincoln City in League One, claiming a 7-2 win to advance to the fourth round – where they will face Arsenal.

Takumi Minamino and Curtis Jones took the braces, with Xherdan Shaqiri, Marko Grujic and Divock Origi completing the score.

However, Liverpool missed a clean sheet, with Tayo Edun and Lewis Montsma answering for Lincoln.

Despite that, Klopp does not think the two goals conceded have detracted from the victory, as he was impressed with his own team’s “pleasing to the eye” approach.

“They deserved their two goals,” he said. BBC Radio 5 Live.

“We played a really good soccer game tonight. It was nice to look at. We pass the ball and finish situations.

“The boys wanted to play soccer and they showed an exceptional attitude.”

‘This is how it should be’

The game gave Klopp a chance to see some of his fringe players in action, and many of them stepped up.

In fact, the coach said he was pleased to see his substitute XI play the same way as his regular first-choice players.

“This is how it should be,” he said. Put on your shirt and show who you are. I am happy with everything.

“Two goals we conceded weren’t pleasant, but it’s not a huge problem. You can get into trouble in a game like this. “
