Klopp makes 5 changes, “exceptional talent” eliminated: Liverpool XI vs Brighton predicted – opinion

After a disappointing 2-0 loss to Atalanta in the Champions League in the middle of the week, Jurgen Klopp must turn his attention to the Premier League as the Reds travel to Brighton and Hove Albion in the early start on Saturday.

The German manager made a lot of changes for the Champions League tie, with players like Neco Williams, Divock Origi and Konstantinos Tsimikas getting off to odd starts, but with very few players impressing in the loss to the Italians, more than likely none. of those players will keep their place against the Seagulls.

The Reds were encouraged by the news midweek that Jordan Henderson has now returned to training after recovering from the blow that kept him out of recent games, and we hope he will return directly to the team for the game at Amex.

Here’s how Football FanCast expects Klopp to line up his team against Brighton on Saturday, with five changes in total …

The defense almost recovered at this point, with Fabinho and Joel Matip starting together as central defender after their impressive performances against Leicester City in the final Premier League game.

Do you think Henderson will start against Brighton?

yes

yes

No

No

Andy Robertson replaces Tsimikas at left-back, while the ever-reliable James Milner returns to right-back after Williams’ poor performance midweek.

Henderson should add much-needed lead in the middle of the park, as that was something that was certainly lacking against Gian Piero Gasperini’s team on Wednesday.

The ‘exceptional’ Curtis Jones may be unlucky enough to miss, as he did well against Leicester City, but we believe Klopp will keep faith in the more experienced Georginio Wijnaldum for the game against Graham Potter’s side.

Unsurprisingly, the four forwards should be composed of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota after the Egyptian winger returned from his brief absence midweek.

Mane will be hoping to improve his performance to end his minor goal drought and Jota will be hoping to get a Premier League away goal after scoring in four straight Premier League games at Anfield.

The Reds will need to do much better if they want to score three points against Brighton on Saturday, although they only need one point to return to the top of the Premier League.

And in other news … Liverpool may sign their long-term replacement for Salah in an ‘incredible’ 21-year lawsuit
