KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Federal Territories, with the cooperation of the Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL), has agreed to allow food outlets and convenience stores in Kuala Lumpur to operate until 2am starting tomorrow.

Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the matter was in line with the decision made by the National Security Council (MKN) that was announced by Chief Minister (Security Group) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Thursday. .

“I have spoken with the mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Nor Hisham A Dahlan a while ago because MKN has given the relaxation.

“… the merchants have had great losses, if they (the entrepreneurs) do not threaten the security that has been assessed by MKN, I agree that the city council (DBKL) allow the opening until 2 am. But the SOP must be fully adhered to, ”he said at a press conference after attending the Bukit Kiara Public Park Beautification Program today.

Yesterday, DBKL announced that the hours of operation of the commercial facilities in Kuala Lumpur would remain until 12am during the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO). The decision was made yesterday at a Crisis Management meeting of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (CMCWPKL).

Earlier, on September 10, Ismail Sabri announced that the hours of operation of premises such as food stores and convenience stores would be extended to 2 am compared to the 12 am stipulated earlier. -Named
