KOTA KINABALU: The Kota Kinabalu branch of Puspakom temporarily closed its operations on Saturday (November 21) after a member of its staff tested positive for Covid-19.
The branch said in a statement that the staff member has been hospitalized for treatment, while all other employees will be tested for Covid-19.
The company said that all staff members who were in direct contact with their Covid-19 positive colleague were also ordered to undergo a 14-day quarantine.
He said the branch’s closure was to allow for cleaning and disinfection of the facilities and that it would reopen at a date to be announced later.
On the advice of the Department of Road Transportation, the branch said commercial vehicle owners who have to renew their permits will have leeway during the Kota Kinabalu Puspakom branch closure.
For those customers who have already made appointments and payments with Puspakom Kota Kinabalu, all payments will be returned automatically.
The statement added that Puspakom would work closely with the Health Ministry and inform clients of any updates from time to time.
