Khairy: 571,802 front-line people have signed up for Covid-19 immunization

PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): A total of 571,802 frontline people have registered to receive the Covid-19 vaccine as of Saturday (February 20), says the Coordinating Minister of the National Covid-19 Immunization Program, Khairy Jamaluddin.

He said that of the total, 57.3% were medical and health personnel, 39.8% belonged to the Ministry of Health (MINSA) and the remaining 17.5% to other medical and health personnel, including from the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM).

According to Khairy, the other 42.7% were non-medical personnel, including members of the ATM, the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, the Royal Malaysian Police, the People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA), the Department of Prisons of Malaysia.
