Sir Kenny Dalglish acknowledges that Nathaniel Phillips and Rhys Williams are ready to step up for Liverpool amid the club’s current injury crisis.
Jurgen Klopp has lost Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez through injury, and has to go to the academy to get him out of a hole.
Phillips made his Premier League debut against West Ham two weeks ago, while Williams played for the Reds against Atalanta in the Champions League.
Both showed Klopp that they are ready for the responsibility of more minutes at the highest level, and former Liverpool manager Dalglish has backed the duo as the Reds get through this turbulent moment.

“It’s difficult for anyone to intervene, but at 19, Williams didn’t do so badly against Atalanta,” Dalglish told the Liverpool Echo.
“He was there and got to his feet, the first header cleared everyone and made sure it was his and Nat Phillips did well in the game at Anfield too.
“It remains to be seen if they are ready in the long term, but Nat was on loan in Germany last season and he did very well so maybe he has a little more experience.
“However, as I say, you have a couple of options, they will want to play. It may not be the perfect time for them because the next game is tough against Leicester, but Jurgen makes most of his decisions correctly and I have definitely him It will also hit this one. ”
