JYP Entertainment has confirmed that GOT7 will be leaving the agency.
Dispatch had previously reported that the seven members of GOT7 would not be renewing their contracts with JYP Entertainment.
On January 11, JYP Entertainment released a statement to officially announce GOT7’s departure.

Hi. This is JYP Entertainment.
JYP has held extensive discussions with the GOT7 members ahead of the expiration of their exclusive contract on January 19.
As a result, both parties agreed not to renew the contract while waiting for a new future.
GOT7 has performed exceptionally as a global idol group representing K-pop since their debut on January 16, 2014.
We sincerely thank GOT7 for being a part of the growth of K-pop and JYP, as well as I GOT7 and all the fans who have been a source of motivation for GOT7’s activities with their infinite support since their debut.
Our official relationship ends here, but JYP will sincerely cheer for the new future that the GOT7 members will move forward in.
We wish the GOT7 members the best in their future endeavors!
