Jurgen Klopp has been named FIFA’s Best Male Coach for the second year in a row.

The Liverpool manager dismissed Marcelo Bielsa from Leeds and Hans-Dieter Flick from Bayern Munich for the honor.

And, after being announced as the winner, the Reds boss said: “I’m [shocked]. I was sitting here because I thought I had won it last year. I am here with my players. Thank you very much, wow.

“I have so many people to thank and especially my coaches. If I had known we had won it, my coaches would be here with me. What we did last year is about these guys.

“We did not dream 30 years, but we have already dreamed for some years. It was absolutely exceptional and we all had a special year in an unfortunately not so positive way, but for Liverpool fans at least we were able to make some highlights in a difficult period.

“I had no idea how it would feel and it felt absolutely overwhelming.”

Klopp became the first to win the award twice, beating Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa and Bayern Munich manager Hans-Dieter Flick’s hat-trick.

Having won last year following the Reds’ Champions League triumph, Klopp received the award again after ending Liverpool’s long wait for a Premier League title.

Furthermore, Son Heung-min’s sublime individual goal for Tottenham against Burnley last December has been named the best in the world for the past year.

Klopp guided Liverpool to a Premier League title last season

The South Korean picked up the ball on the edge of his own area during the 5-0 Premier League win before smashing through Burnley’s entire team and overtaking Nick Pope.

Son surpassed the efforts of Luiz Suárez for Barcelona and Giorgian De Arrascaeta of Flamengo to win the Puskas Award at FIFA’s The Best ceremony.

The award, first established in 2009, is named after former Real Madrid striker Ferenc Puskas.

They are following in the footsteps of people like Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, James Rodríguez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mohamed Salah to claim the award.
