JOHOR BARU: Ruling Sultan Johor Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has advised people in the state to be alert to the flood situation.
His Majesty decreed that the state government, together with relevant departments and agencies, channel adequate aid to victims currently seeking refuge in relief centers.
“There has been an increase in flood victims due to heavy rains and many temporary help centers have been opened in many districts.
“Everyone must be reminded to take care of their safety and health to prevent the spread of disease,” His Majesty said in a statement posted on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page on Sunday (January 3).
Sultan Ibrahim also reminded residents, particularly those staying in risky areas, to be careful and always follow instructions to leave their homes if they flood.
His Majesty decreed that those who want to travel must plan their trips well to avoid roads that have been closed after being flooded.
“Due to the current weather conditions, the rakyat must be careful and make the necessary plans. Let us pray together that everything will improve soon, ”said Sultan Ibrahim.
