Johor BN boss Hasni Mohammad says Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman’s youth party is not necessary.

BATU PAHAT: Johor youth do not need a new party as an umbrella and to express their wishes and problems, said BN state president Hasni Mohammad.

Hasni said the parties under the BN were still able to safeguard the voices and wishes of the young group. Young people must not be swayed by the effort to create a new youth party, as there is already a conduit for young people to make their voices heard.

Before this, MP Muar (Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman) had a proposal to establish a party for the youth. However, it is not necessary to follow a party that is specifically for young people, ”he said.

” The voices of the young and the old must be united. It is similar to not respecting the elderly if one follows a party that is specifically for the young. Ideally, the young and the old should be together to strengthen the unity between them, ” he said today.

Hasni’s comments came when he opened the BN Youth electoral machine for the Sri Gading parliamentary constituency.

Last week, Syed Saddiq, a former youth minister, confirmed that he would not join the new party created by Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, but would instead establish a multiracial youth party.
