KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Jason Jonathan Lo and his colleague pleaded not guilty today in Sessions Court here for criminal breach of trust of money belonging to a record company that amounted to more than RM200,000 last year.

Lo, better known as ‘LO’ or ‘J Lo’, 45, and Muhammad Yakub Hussaini, 47, both directors of Fat Boys Records Sdn Bhd, who were entrusted with the company’s money worth RM232,500. , allegedly committed the offense. trust through the fraudulent use of money for personal use.

They pleaded guilty after the charges against them were heard before Sessions Court Judge Sabariah Othman.

The two men were charged with committing the crime at the company in Mont Kiara here on April 24 and May 14, 2019 in accordance with Section 409 of the Penal Code read in conjunction with Section 34 of the Penal Code, which states a maximum jail sentence of 20 years and flogging, as well as a fine if convicted.

Deputy Prosecutor Noorhani Muhmmed Ayub prosecuted, while attorney Alfred Chong represented both defendants.

The court granted the two defendants bail of RM30,000 each and set October 2 for the case to be mentioned for the production of documents.

In November of last year, Lo was also charged in Magistrates Court here with breaking into a home and using methamphetamine.

He also pleaded not guilty to both charges.
