PUTRAJAYA: The 400 residents of Medan 88 in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi who have disappeared will be located and arrested, says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said the missing are workers whose employers had moved out of the area after it was announced that the place would be placed under an improved MCO.

“We discussed this at today’s special meeting of the National Security Council and we have agreed to this action.” This is what the police did to the residents of Selangor Mansion who left the place when it was put under lockdown, “he said on Thursday (November 12).

Ismail Sabri said it would not be difficult for the police to locate the missing, as they knew the employers involved.

“They told us that some employers had used buses to get their workers out of the place. The police will track down employers and find workers.

“We have also asked the police to take action against employers for removing their workers from the improved MCO area,” he said.

On Wednesday (November 11), Ismail Sabri announced that the enhanced MCO would apply in Medan 88 through November 25, involving 88 commercial parcels, 284 premises and 800 residents.

Earlier Thursday, the Sepang district disaster management committee said it would seek the help of the police in detecting 400 residents who did not return home after receiving information that barbed wire would be installed in the area due to the implementation. of the improved OLS.

Its president, Mohamad Zain A. Hamid, said the number of people who did not return to their homes was detected after interviews with residents who said their housemates or family members did not return as soon as they learned that the area would be placed under an improved OLS.

” The police will detect them through the MySejahtera searches they made or manual searches in the stores or premises visited in the area.

” The purpose of the enhanced MCO is to conduct health screenings and not safety or other screenings. So, I am calling on residents here who have not yet undergone swab testing to do so quickly, ” he said.
