Ismail Sabri: Police took action against 519 people for MCO violations on Saturday (Nov 7)

PETALING JAYA: Police took action against 519 people for defying various movement control orders (MCOs) on Saturday (November 7), says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The defense minister said 511 people were issued enclosures for various violations, while another four were detained and placed on police bail.

The violations committed included not adhering to physical distancing measures (206), not wearing masks (126), not providing check-in equipment (67), premises that were operating beyond the allowed time (23), entertainment activities (9) and others (88).

In total, the task force that oversees compliance with the standard operating procedure (SOP) led by the police carried out 53,389 checks across the country on Saturday (November 7), Ismail Sabri said in a statement on Sunday (November 8). .

Ismail Sabri also said that under Ops Benteng, a total of six undocumented immigrants were detained on Saturday, while three vehicles were seized.
