PUTRAJAYA: The National Security Council (NSC) will hear on Friday (November 20) an assessment on the Covid-19 situation in the “green states” that have been placed under conditional MCO to see if the order can be lifted, it says Chief Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said that there are some states that have not registered new cases and where the number of positive cases is decreasing.

“The Ministry of Health has been asked to assess the situation and if the authorities believe that the situation is safe and that the conditional MCO can be lifted, they will recommend it to the NSC.”

“This will be up to the health authorities to decide while they do the risk assessment and have the numbers,” he said on Wednesday (November 18).

On November 7, the government announced that conditional MCOs would be imposed in all states of Peninsular Malaysia except Perlis, Kelantan and Pahang, from November 9 to December 6.

Also under the conditional MCO are Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan.
