“The National Security Council will receive a report from the ministry. If there are more actions to be taken, we will make the necessary announcements, ”he said on Tuesday (December 22).

While Malaysia had closed its borders to tourists since March, a ban has been imposed on citizens of 23 countries who are long-term pass holders, including the United Kingdom, since September due to the large number of Covid-19 cases. .

After news of the newly discovered strain of Covid-19 emerged in the UK, several countries in Europe, including the Netherlands and Italy, proceeded to ban passenger flights from the country, as did India.
