KUALA LUMPUR: People in Selangor and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan will have to wait at least one day before the conditional movement control order (MCO) ends to see if it will be extended.
When asked if the conditional MCO in these areas will be extended, Chief Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the Health Ministry would study the situation in those areas before making a decision.
“Once they have made their assessment, the ministry will give their recommendation to the special meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) and a decision will be made,” he said during his daily briefing on Saturday (October 24).
Asking people in those areas to be patient, he said any announcements would be made one day before the end of the conditional MCO.
“Wait for the announcement,” Ismail Sabri said.
Ismail Sabri had announced earlier this month that the conditional MCO would be implemented in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya from October 14 to 27, while Labuan was placed under the same order from October 17 to 30.
