KUALA LUMPUR: Compounds were released to 455 people while another was detained for violating the recovery movement control order (MCO) on Thursday (Nov 5), says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (Photo).

The Chief Minister (Security) said that among the crimes committed are the non-use of masks, not practicing physical distancing and activities in entertainment venues.

“The police-led SOP enforcement task force conducted 52,730 inspections across the country.

“Among the locations were 3,705 supermarkets, 4,829 restaurants, 1,252 factories and 3,413 banks,” it said in a statement on Friday (November 6).

In Ops Benteng, 25 undocumented immigrants and two ship captains were detained on Thursday, Ismail Sabri said.

Authorities also seized nine ground vehicles.

“On Thursday a total of 277 roadblocks were made. Our priority is to prevent any part from entering the country illegally,” he added.

In another matter, Ismail Sabri said that the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) conducted 13,125 checks on construction sites from April 20 to November 5, involving 7,794 sites.

“On Thursday 22 sites adhered to the SOPs while another was not operational,” he added.
