The biggest differences between the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 will likely be the specs, of course. This is what we expect from the iPhone 12.
Four iPhone 12 models
We may see four iPhone 12s released Tuesday: the iPhone 12 Mini (5.4 inches), the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro (6.1 inches) and the iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inches). In comparison, there are only three iPhone 11s: the iPhone 11 (6.1-inch), the iPhone 11 Pro (5.8 inches) and iPhone 11 Pro Max (6.5 inches).
Higher refresh rate
It is speculated that the iPhone 12 screen will have a refresh rate of 120Hz Y a ProMotion display, which you can currently find on the iPad Pro. Most phones (including the iPhone 11) refresh at 60 frames per second, or 60 Hz, but some, like the Galaxy S20 and the OnePlus 8 Pro, update to 120Hz. The higher the refresh rate, the faster and smoother a phone will feel when scrolling through apps and websites.
Better cameras
As is often the case with newer iPhones, you can expect the iPhone 12 cameras to upgrade over the iPhone 11. The iPhone 11 has a photo night mode and a wide angle camera which can add additional details in photos, along with a great video camera. There have been rumors that the iPhone 12 may add a time of flight camera, like the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, to help capture depth information. This could do various things like help with AR mapping, but it could also mean that you will finally get the ability to have portrait mode on video.
The addition of 5G
One of the biggest new features expected from the iPhone 12 is next-generation 5G cellular connectivity. Apple’s invitation to the event begins with “Hello, speed,” leading us to believe that new phones will finally get 5G connectivity, as virtually every new Android phone coming to the US already has. This means that phones can access the high-speed wireless network on the go, which may seem like a little less exciting during the pandemicas we spend more time at home, but we will still prepare your device for the future for the increase of 5G.
The iPhone 11 does not offer 5G connectivity, although many people seem i think it does.
Price
The base model of the 2019 iPhone 11 was $ 699, which is $ 50 less than the 2018 iPhone XR. This downward price trend is likely to continue: A technology analyst reports that the base model of the iPhone 12 (the Mini) will cost $ 649, the iPhone 12 Pro will cost $ 999 and the iPhone 12 Pro Max will cost $ 1,099. Here’s everything we know about the iPhone 12 price so far.
