Tamil film actor Rajinikanth, who was admitted to hospital on Christmas Day after his blood pressure fluctuated, has recovered.

The 70-year-old man was discharged from the hospital on December 27 after his blood pressure stabilized, but he was advised to rest for a week in bed and avoid stress.

The Indian superstar was in the middle of filming his movie, Annaatthe, when filming was suspended on December 23 after some team members tested positive for Covid-19.

Four people were reported to have been infected with the coronavirus, but Rajinikanth’s test was negative.

He quarantined himself to be sure, which was when his blood pressure fluctuated and he was admitted to the hospital.

The film had resumed production earlier this month in Hyderabad, after being halted due to closure.
