SIBU (Nov 2): The late Officer Nicholester Dadup Unggat, who died in a traffic accident while chasing suspected criminals in a car in Jalan Kangkar Tebrau / Jalan Tun Teja in Johor Bahru yesterday, had told his sister and brother-in-law . of her wish that they return to Sibu together to celebrate Christmas this year.
His sister Elizcavelynicy Unchi Unggat, in her Facebook post, said that the wish of Nicholester, whom she affectionately called Adup, came true today.

“You are famous today, Adup, your name is mentioned everywhere… on television, Facebook, Instagram.
They congratulated you, Adup. They said you are their hero. They give you their respect as if you were the highest ranking officer ”, he stated in a post written in Iban.

Johor Police Chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said Nicholester died at the scene in the accident that occurred around 5 a.m.
He said the victim and 32-year-old Corporal Mohammad Fadhirul Musa saw two men in a Perodua Myvi car suspiciously along Jalan Tebrau and ordered them to stop, but the car sped up.

Elizcavelynicy, who works as a nurse at Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI) in Johor Bahru, said that Nicholester had received a lot of compliments from his colleagues and officials and that he would be very proud to receive all the compliments if he were still alive.

He said Nicholester’s body would be flown from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) around noon and is expected to arrive in Kuching at 3.30pm today, before returning to Sibu.

Meanwhile, Sibu Police Chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said they were making arrangements for the body to be flown from Kuching to Sibu using a Royal Malaysian Police plane today.

According to Stanley, Nicholester was raised by his grandfather since he was a baby.
