KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin visited Facebook on Thursday (February 25) to provide an update on his health one day after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.

“Everything is going well, I think this is a safe and effective vaccine. So many of you would like to know about my health status today. Alhamdulillah, I feel healthy, there is no fever, nothing out of the ordinary. I am eating as usual and my appetite is also normal, “he said while expressing his gratitude.

Muhyiddin was the first person in the country to receive the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Thursday.

Among others who were hit were Health Director General Tan Sri, Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, and four staff from the Health Ministry of the Putrajaya Health Office in Precinct 11.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister said that he had also received an appointment for the second dose of the vaccine on March 17.

Muhyiddin said that, as a recipient of the vaccine, he also received information about the vaccine through the MySejahtera app on his mobile phone.

“That is why I once again urge everyone to play their respective roles in supporting the efforts of the government and the country to flatten the Covid-19 curve by registering for the injection, through the MySejahtera application,” he said.

Meanwhile, Muhyiddin asked the public to continue to adhere to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) even after receiving the vaccine.

“Wear a mask, wash your hands as usual, observe physical distancing and don’t go into crowded spaces, this we should continue to do even after we have been vaccinated,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Noor Hisham responded to Bernama about his experience.

“I feel fine too, no side effects, no fever or pain. I have already informed the MySejahtera app,” he said.

He also shared a screenshot of his MySejahtera app where he had updated his health status. – Bernama
