IKEA Damansara closed today for alleged Covid-19 case

IKEA Damansara will resume operations on Sunday after undergoing disinfection.

PETALING JAYA: IKEA Damansara said it will be closed today after being informed yesterday that one of its part-time workers was suspected of being Covid-19 positive.

In a statement today, the store said the worker, whose last day of work was Oct. 30, was currently in the care of health authorities and was awaiting examination.

“The health, safety and general well-being of our workers, customers, partners and community are our top priorities,” IKEA Damansara said in a statement.

“As a proactive precautionary measure, our store will be closed on November 7 (today) to undergo sanitation and deep cleaning, in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Health.”

The store will resume operations tomorrow.
