BUTTERWORTH: A 33-year-old man was indicted today in Magistrates Court here for impersonating and robbing a new patrol from the district police headquarters here last week.

Azrullah was charged under Section 379A of the Penal Code for theft of motor vehicles, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years in jail or a fine upon conviction.

The attempted robbery charge falls under Section 393 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years in jail or a fine on conviction.

The charge of theft of two mobile phones falls under Section 379 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum sentence of seven years in jail, a fine and flogging on conviction.
