PETALING JAYA: The main policeman in the country says that he stopped the movements to shoot him down the moment he detected him.

“The situation is under control,” Police Inspector General Abdul Hamid Bador told the FMT.

Yesterday, in a Sinar Harian report, Hamid revealed that there was a group of younger policemen who formed a cartel to dominate the force and overthrow him.

“I first detected this ugly movement by a superior officer who has the ambition to one day lead the force.”

Hamid said he had to raise the issue to dissuade other “young Turks” from carrying out such “dirty plans.”

“I don’t want the police force to become a playground for those with crooked agendas in the future.

“The police force is a sacred force charged with protecting the constitution, the country and the people according to the laws of the country and not according to the whims and fantasies of individual officers.”

In January, Hamid revealed the existence of a “dirty police cartel” in the force.

He promised to get to the bottom of the problem and end the internal rot.
