PETALING JAYA: TH Properties Sdn Bhd’s best man Damanhuri Mahmod apologized after a video of him using profanity went viral.
He said his actions did not reflect the values of the company.
“I apologize. We will strive in a more positive direction in creating a more harmonious work environment at TH Properties,” he said in a statement.
Recently, a three-minute video went viral on social media in which the CEO of TH Properties uttered vulgar words in English and Bahasa Malay several times at a meeting believed to have involved the agency’s administrative staff.
The Deputy Minister of the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Ahmad Marzuk Shaary, later said that it was a personal crime committed by the senior official of the company.
Ahmad Marzuk had added that an internal investigation was underway to identify the real cause and expressed concern about how it was leaked.
“It was a closed-door meeting and we don’t know how it could have leaked. Perhaps, there is something that needs to be investigated thoroughly and comprehensively from the administrative aspect, “added the deputy minister.
TH Properties is involved in property development, construction, project management, and facilities management. It is wholly owned by Lembaga Tabung Haji (Pilgrim Fund Board).
