The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro was leaked ahead of an IFA announcement and we have a better idea of what will appear on the company’s next smartwatch.
The Huawei Watch GT2 and GT2e have been huge successes, promoting Huawei to second place in the ranking of smartwatch manufacturers for the second quarter of 2020.
And hot on the heels of the Huawei Watch Fit oddly, it looks like the GT 2 Pro will bring more options to the table.
Turkish Huawei HuaweiAliesi watchers have discovered what appear to be retail listings for the new device.
There are images and specs that reveal two sizes and some high-end features.
It doesn’t look like a massive update to the GT2e, but there is a titanium case, which means it should be significantly sleeker and sleeker. The GT2e was a pretty sporty looking smartwatch, so it should suit people looking at the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3.
On board there is GPS and an SpO2 sensor, as well as the heart rate monitor.
And it retails the two-week battery life that makes the Huawei Watch GT2 such an attractive prospect. When you consider that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 can only work for two days, you can see why Huawei’s smartwatches have been so successful.
And there’s a loudspeaker, which hints that we might see the arrival of the company’s voice assistant, Celia. We previously reported that Celia would be coming to Huawei watches, but without a mic on the spec sheet, the jury is still out on that.
Basically what we have is an improved design, which largely follows the specifications of the original Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro.
There are rumors that Huawei will launch a Mate Watch, but that could come in October alongside new smartphones.
