KUALA LUMPUR: Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and cashless payment solutions provider Revenue Group Bhd have partnered to develop an electronic service center for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Its aim is to build an ecosystem to develop digital innovations that help more than 900,000 SMEs in Malaysia to move towards digital transformation and effectively boost their presence in the market.

To mark this partnership, its Revenue Safe Nets Sdn Bhd unit recently signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Huawei Malaysia.

In a joint statement issued Monday, both parties said there is an urgent need to empower SMEs to adopt digital applications and software that will take their business to the next level, digitally.

“Therefore, this collaboration will provide SMBs with access to more than 1,000 software that are available in the cloud and that will help companies to operate more efficiently and effectively.

“Both parties will take advantage of digital innovation platforms that both parties will jointly develop using Huawei’s cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies,” they said.

Huawei Malaysia will be the technology provider in the collaboration and, together with Revenue, will develop innovative solutions to digitize companies through strategic projects, using Huawei’s cloud and artificial intelligence technologies.

The four strategies of collaboration are:

1) Huawei Malaysia will play the role of technology provider in the collaboration and, together with Revenue, will develop innovative solutions to digitize companies through strategic projects, using Huawei’s cloud and artificial intelligence technologies.

2) Using Huawei’s cloud and artificial intelligence technologies, Revenue will be the platform provider in this collaboration to develop industry-driven solutions.

3) Both parties will develop go-to-market programs, which will include consulting services that focus on digital transformation for businesses.

4) Both parties will develop cloud-based ICT solutions for marketable devices.

Revenue Managing Director and Group CEO Datuk Eddie Ng Chee Siong said the partnership will allow them to build and implement cloud and artificial intelligence-based innovations.

“The e-service center will be of great help to independent software vendors (ISVs) and application developers, as well as the entire ecosystem, to boost our country’s digital economy,” added Ng.

Huawei Malaysia Vice President of Cloud and Artificial Intelligence Lim Chee Siong said that by leveraging Huawei’s deep experience and in-depth knowledge of cloud and artificial intelligence technologies, both sides will be able to not only develop effective innovative solutions, but also build a thriving ecosystem to help SMEs grow and transform digitally.

The e-service hub will see the integration of Revenue’s in-house service innovation platform and Huawei’s cloud and artificial intelligence technologies, and will target SMEs as well as Huawei’s channel partners in Malaysia.
