KUALA LUMPUR (November 9): Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Huawei Malaysia) and cashless payment solutions provider Revenue Group Bhd have teamed up to develop an electronic service center, focusing on small and medium-sized businesses. companies (SMEs).

In a joint statement today, the firms said that Revenue’s unit, Revenue Safe Nets Sdn Bhd, had recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Huawei Malaysia.

The main objective of the collaboration is to build an ecosystem to develop digital innovations through which both parties can help more than 900,000 SMEs in Malaysia to move towards digital transformation and effectively boost their presence in the market.

Revenue and Huawei Malaysia said they see an urgent need to empower SMEs to adopt digital applications and software that will take their business to the next level, digitally.

To achieve these goals, Revenue and Huawei Malaysia will leverage digital innovation platforms that both parties will jointly develop using Huawei’s artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technologies.

The group’s chief revenue officer and chief executive officer, Datuk Eddie Ng Chee Siong, said that through the partnership, Revenue and Huawei Malaysia will build and implement innovations based on cloud and artificial intelligence.

Meanwhile, Huawei Malaysia Vice President of Cloud and Artificial Intelligence Lim Chee Siong said that by leveraging Huawei’s deep experience and insight into cloud and artificial intelligence technologies, both sides will be able to not only develop effective innovative solutions, but also build a thriving ecosystem to help SMEs grow and transform digitally.

“Huawei is committed to developing creative solutions to bridge technology gaps in the country and be a catalyst for Malaysia’s digital economic growth,” Lim said.

The e-services hub will see the integration of Revenue’s internal services innovation platform and Huawei’s cloud and artificial intelligence technologies, and will target SMEs as well as Huawei’s channel partners in Malaysia.
