KINABATANGAN: A plantation worker was beaten to death by his housemate, because the other man was angry with him for wasting water at his home in Sukau here yesterday.

In the incident, around 5.30pm, Lito Salibat, in his 30s, died of serious injuries to the abdomen after being stung with a parang.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

“Neighbors found out about the incident after the victim ran out of the house covered in blood.

“Witnesses also saw the suspect running out of the house, but no one dared to stop him while he was holding a parang.”
