Hours of operation 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. for most businesses during CMCO, says SDMC

KUCHING (November 8): Businesses must operate at specific times during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in the Kuching District which goes into effect from 12:01 am tonight until November 22 at 11:59 pm

According to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) published by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), businesses such as supermarkets, shopping malls, retail stores, street stalls, food trucks and restaurants can operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. pm, morning market from 6 am to 12 pm and night market from 4 to 10 pm, and service stations can open from 6 to 10 pm.

“The public is encouraged to buy food at home, at home or to go. It is allowed to dine at home but with a maximum of four people per table, with 1 meter of distance between diners ”, said the SOP.

Fishing, plantations, agriculture, livestock and other sectors related to food supply are allowed to operate.

Public transportation, such as the stage bus and express bus, can operate, while taxis and e-hailing with a maximum of two passengers, can operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Clinics, government and private hospitals can operate 24 hours a day, while pharmacies and drug stores can operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The opening of night clubs, pubs, theme parks, karaoke, indoor play areas, cinemas, commercial soccer fields, gyms, indoor soccer fields and badminton courts are also not allowed.
