The two were said to be good friends, and their friendship dates back to 2012 when they entered the Miss Hong Kong pageant.

But it seems that actresses Jacqueline Wong and Roxanne Tong are no longer on friendly terms, at least not on social media.

Observing netizens recently discovered that Wong, 31, and Tong, 33, are no longer following each other on Instagram. Some wonder if this was because Tong not only took on the role of Wong in a TVB drama, but also replaced her as actor Kenneth Ma’s girlfriend in real life.

Speculation about the two actresses’ relationship comes as Hong Kong media reported over the weekend that broadcaster TVB was likely to terminate Wong’s contract.

In April of last year, Wong was embroiled in an infidelity scandal with singer Andy Hui, who is married to singer-songwriter Sammi Cheng.

The television series that Wong had acted in quickly went on to pack, with his role in the television series. Forensic Heroes IV assumed by Tong.

Wong’s then-boyfriend Kenneth Ma broke up with her after the scandal. In June this year, Ma, 46, admitted that he and Tong were dating.

Wong congratulated the couple, but it appears that she is no longer close to Tong, who later told the media that they had not kept in touch since Wong left Hong Kong for the United States after the scandal.

When asked if Wong unfollowed her and even blocked her on social media, Tong said she was not aware and would investigate the matter. Ma, who doesn’t follow Wong on Instagram, said he wasn’t aware of the matter either.

Before, things seemed to be going well for Wong. Two of his canned drama series: Find your voice Y Maidens United – were belatedly released late last year, with a third – The Offliners – finally scheduled to air in Hong Kong.g

But Oriental Daily News reported over the weekend that TVB made the decision to terminate his contract as it concluded that Wong’s image had not improved 18 months after the scandal and was unlikely to improve anytime soon. While Wong is still under contract and on unpaid leave, TVB decided it is best to let her go now given the worsening economy.

Wong did not confirm or deny the report when approached by the Hong Kobg media, simply saying that he would inform the media if there were any updates. – The Straits Times / Asia News Network
