With 2021 right around the corner, Samsung is definitely busy with its next flagship, which will launch in the first quarter of the year. Ahead of the upcoming Unpacked event, serial leaker Steve from @OnLeaks has released high-resolution CAD renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 (or probably Galaxy S30).
Most of the Android smartphones released this year had an oversized rectangular camera. If you get bored with that design, it looks like Samsung is trying something different for the Galaxy S21.
If you look closely, the bulge on the camera is now aligned directly to the upper left corner of the rear panel. The bump still sticks out slightly with rounded corners for the upper left and lower right. As shown here, the S21 still features a triple camera setup and the LED flash is positioned out of the bump.
The S21 also features a curved metal frame that now comes with a dual-layer look that flows from the impact element of the camera. According to Steve, the S21 is either 7.9mm or 9.0mm thick with the included camera top. Like any new Samsung flagship, it doesn’t come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
At the moment, what we’re looking at here is the base model Galaxy S21 which is said to come with a 6.2 ″ flat screen. It appears that Samsung is continuing the trend of the Galaxy Note 20 by offering a flat screen for its non-Ultra model. The device still has a punch hole camera for selfies and we think it could have a smaller cutout than the current S20 series. In addition to the S21, Samsung will also launch the larger Galaxy S21 + and the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Steve hasn’t shared any hardware specs at this time, but it is speculated that the new S21 series will run on a newer Exynos 2100 which could be more superior than Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 875. In terms of availability, Samsung is rumored to be will launch its next generation Galaxy. S21 in early January and Steve’s source seems to have confirmed this speculation.
