Hasni lives up to the times Muhyiddin fails

COMMENTARY | I am on the opposite political side of Johor Menteri Besar Hasni Mohammad, but I would not hesitate to give credit to what is due.

Hasniabove) has lived up to governing with a healthy dose of bipartisanship, while Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who happens to be Johor’s Assemblyman for Gambir, failed miserably.

Until now, Muhyiddin has been trying to dominate and subjugate, alienating the opposition and his own allies while losing focus on the need to unite the nation to confront the greatest political, economic and health crisis the country has ever seen.

Hasni has a two-seat majority (29-27) in the Johor state assembly, where Umno has 16 seats and Bersatu has 12 seats, with a single PKR crossover doing the rest. Bersatu, of course, is not particularly happy with the fact that the party is now deprived of the kissing mentor position.
