Harry Kane leaned in to make a big decision at Manchester United

According to the latest reports, Harry Kane was urged to make an important decision about Manchester United before the summer transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was once a prolific scorer at Manchester United. The Norwegian was deadly in front of the goal. He could be trusted to score whenever he wanted. Even if he came as a substitute, Solskjaer’s innate sense and hunger for goal made him a machine.

Now as manager, the Norwegian is forced to stand on the sideline unable to provide the threat of attack that he so often made for Sir Alex Ferguson during the club’s heyday.

Ironically, Solskjaer lacks someone of his class in his current Red Devils squad. The former cult hero has no criminal attack options and is something he is desperate to change as he seeks to return the Red Devils to the pinnacle of English football.

Harry Kane, whose future has been questioned in recent months, could be an impeccable choice.

The Tottenham and England captain is one of the best strikers in the world. He is a goal machine like Solskjaer.

Kane can score goals for fun and could eventually break Alan Shearer’s longtime Premier League record.

With 32 goals in 45 appearances in England, he is one of the country’s deadliest forwards and is one of the few English players to have won a top scorer award in the World Cup.

But with Tottenham unable to win Kane the trophies he desires and the London-based club unlikely to qualify for the Champions League next season, it seems increasingly likely that Harry Kane is eager to leave the club.

And Tim Sherwood, a former Tottenham player who had previously coached Harry Kane, urged him to make a surprising decision by choosing to stay at Tottenham.

Sherwood told the Daily Mail through the Daily Express that, like Alan Shearer, Harry Kane should resist the temptation of Manchester United and resist in Tottenham.

Alan Shearer allegedly rejected the Red Devils’ approach while at Blackburn and would end up lifting the Premier League title with the Rovers.

This is what Tim Sherwood said in its entirety:

“It’s like Alan Shearer. Finish fourth with Blackburn [in 1992-93], then second [the following season]. Manchester United is on him. But he decides to stay, because he believes we have the quality to win it, and we did it next season. Harry needs to assess this for himself.

Of course, the decision could be a big bet for Harry Kane, and with United in a much better state than Tottenham, the English international could ignore Sherwood’s advice.
