RIYADH (Bernama): The request for a larger Haj quota is expected to be one of the important issues that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will raise in his hearing now taking place with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed. bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. here on Tuesday (March 9).

An increase in Malaysia’s population has prompted the government to apply.

According to the Tabung Haji website, the government of Saudi Arabia has set the Haj quota for each country at 0.1% of the total population.

Aside from Haj’s quota, Muhyiddin is likely to raise questions about the Umrah pilgrimage in meeting with the Crown Prince, who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense on the last day of his four-day official visit to the kingdom.

Malaysia is seeking approval and permission for Malaysian Umrah pilgrims to perform the ritual as soon as possible.
